Classified in different ways
Geometry
- Triangle: the most popular jib body type. Because of the stability of the triangle, this kind of jib body is widely used. The length can be from 3m to 20m long, there are many different sizes and thickness triangle jib body.
- Octagonal: working with the latch lock clamp, so it can be assembled very fast.
- Rectangle: very few people choose this jib body.
Connection mode
- Screw: Very strong, widely used from 3m to 20m
- Latch lock clamp: Very fast, can`t be so long as screw, the longest is 10m.
In details
- Triangle 154mm size(Number 1 in the photo): This is the strongest jib body in China, “154mm” means its triangle side length, its thickness is 4mm. If you want to purchase the jib in 10m, 12m, 15m even 20m, this is the best choice. The connection mode is the screw. Usually, work with a professional head, the loading capacity is 16kg.
- Triangle 130mm size: The most popular used jib body. 130mm size, 3mm thickness, two connection modes can choose, the screw(Number 2 in the photo) and latch lock clamp(Number 4 in the photo). The length is usually from 3m to 12m.
- Triangle 80mm size: Smallest for the triangle jib, loading capacity is only 5kg, the longest length is 7m. Very light and easy to take away.
- Octagonal: 84x65mm size, latch lock clamp connection. Assemble very fast, easy to take away. The longest length is 10m.
- Rectangle: Very few people choose this type, it is a very old model.
Practical Application
- Strong and professional, length is 10m or 12m, used for rent, our suggestion is the most popular, 130mm triangle, if your budget is enough, the 154mm size is better. Still based on your camera model, if broadcast camera machine, only can choose the 154mm size jib body.
- Installation fast and easy to take away, the octagonal or 80mm size triangle.
- Used indoor, 6m or 8m long, the 130mm triangle size is the best choice.
- Make the decision of the head or tripod, then choose the jib body. Because some tripod or head can only work with specified jib body.
